Up, Up, and Away!!!

Okay it is just 36 hours to we hop on a plane to go to China, I have packed what I can till tomorrow night. I just hope the butterflies in my stomach go away soon I am tired of having that yuck feeling. I will keep you all up to date on the journey as best as I can. Love to all see you soon!!

Babies Room

The Babies Room has a Jungle animal theme in oranges , green, rusty red and brown. We would like to thank Titi Mimi and family for the extordinairy gift of a crib and dressing changing table combo.

The Count Down Begins....

So we now have the invoice for travel to China and we travel to China in just seven days. Wow glad i started to pack already since we now both work until the day before, I will still need to pack more in the next few days but I still need clothes for when I am here. I am excited now about traveling to China now that I know what it gonna cost us to go. I will keep you all up to date as possible with what we do and see. I hope to also be able to load in some pictures as we get them.>>> Love to All who are going to follow this journey to get Liam our Little Buddha.

.....And so we are only 8 days away from what we can call a MIRACLE, Liam Holt ShunYue will be in our arms the day after fathers days and we will have traveld half way around the world to be a FOREVER FAMILY.....

Blessed....some more!

In April, one of the girls that worked with me at Hallmark,organized a intimate gatthering with some of the other girls and threw us a baby shower, we had tons of fun, like always!!!! So we are and will always be blessed with love from our friends, that, honestly they are more like family than just friends! We love you all!!!

Blessed....

During our waiting time we have had a lots of ups and downs, loss of jobs, change of jobs, changes in finances, and many more....but we have been blessed with a great circle of friends,....Dannye, Ray and Mikkel, 'Homedaddy' Don,JMei and Be, Angie and Sadena, Susan Reitano and Sophia, Gretchen Stopyra, and so many more that words are not enough to say thank you for your support and love.
we were honored with several "Baby Showers" during the past months, one was a get together to scrap booking kinda thing, and we ended up not scrap booking but eating and talking and more eating, but lots of fun. Thank you ladies!

Many Changes!

So.....after almost a year of waiting, we meet this pretty little girl while waiting to get our photos with Santa, and yes we do this almost every year! Her name is Sadena, and her mom is Angie, we started talking and we found out we have several friends in common, friends we have meet at our "monthly support group", Sadena was born with a cleft lip.cleft palate but was repaired before he Mama & Papa meet her, she was our inspiration, she was adorable and she made friends with Holt almost instantly. After that we had our annual Chinese New Year celebration and there we meet with Susan Anderson Moore and her incredible family, another inspiration for us, so we went home that afternoon and we decided to go with special needs better known as 'waiting children". We summited our application with an opened our preference for either a boy or a girl, and waited some more......Exactly a year later, just a day or two before Valentines day and Chinese New Year, we got a call from our agency, but we were not home and they left a short msg, nothing specific. We were wondering all weekend what this call could be about....... Monday morning I sent out an e-mail to Stephanie and she e-mailed back with the news that she had a file of a little boy exactly a year old with cleft lip/palate un-repaired. And we said yes and she sent us the file, I had asked Stephanie to send the file to my work as well as to my home e-mail so both Holt and i could read it at the same time! And after Holt read it he said he was perfect, so I opened the file via my Blackberry and the first thin that I saw was his eyes! They said so much, and at that moment I knew he was our son. We called Stephanie and told her that we wanted to be his "FOREVER FAMILY".....

Our Journey

We would like for you to know our story, from the beginning....14 years ago we meet while working at Universal Studios, there was only one park at that time!, Holt and I worked together for a while and then he was promoted to my supervisor and they moved him away to another area, but for some funny reason he kept showing up every time I had a break or a lunch, hum???? Well time went by and we got to know each other very well as friends, good friends, not knowing that Mr. Holt had other "plans". Apparently he had told the girls that worked with us that he wanted to "date" me, so they started to provide Mr. Holt with info of me! Clever man!!!! We did go out on kinda of a date, we went shopping to Downtown Disney for Christmas gifts for his families kids. We had a great time, we talked for hours and hours. He talked quite a bit about his family, especially of his parents, any who.....this was late November and we started to date in December and he propose in January 6th(traditional Three Kings Day for Latin Americans) and we were married the following November 1st 1997. Many things have happened since then, both of his parents have passed, my mother passed 7 months before we got married, we left Orlando for 2 1/2 years and when we moved back, we started our Adoption Proses!!!!! We did our home study on February 13 2007 and then began the Paper chase and more paper chase. Finally we got our log in on March 25th 2008.
